"Distributor of media for large format digital printing and visual communication, the Belgian company Beltex offers, since the first quarter of 2022, a biodegradable textile fabric: the Cotton Sub 270 FR. The test report, carried out by an independent laboratory, indicates a degradation of the material of 94% after only 90 days.
Produced by the Portuguese group Endutex, this woven cotton-based substrate, which has a Bs2-d0 fire rating, can be printed using UV, Latex, direct sublimation and transfer printing. "In addition to its good flatness, this media offers an interesting stretch for a good tension of the media and shows little marking at the fold," explains the distributor, who offers this coated fabric in rolls of 1.55m or 3.10m width. The product has already attracted large format digital printing specialists such as Ateliers Cassandre, who already use the media in their Wissous (91) factory.
